Dairy Queen Just Released a New Version of This Fan-Favorite Menu Item

From Chick-fil-A, McDonald’s, and Raising Cane’s, to Wendy’s, Arby’s, and Sonic, there’s a wide variety of chicken strips at our favorite fast food chains. But one restaurant item fans seem to order again and again is Dairy Queen’s breaded chicken strips. They are crunchy and well-seasoned, plus you can snag a four-piece with crispy French fries, Texas toast, a drink, and a dipping sauce for an unbeatable price.

Now, the ice-cream mecca is stepping it up a notch. Dairy Queen has added a new spicy twist to a popular menu item, and we can’t wait to try it.

Dairy Queen Introduces FlameThrower Chicken Strips

As part of its new Swicy menu, Dairy Queen has added FlameThrower Chicken Strip Baskets to the lineup. The crispy chicken strips are made with 100 percent all-white meat and seasoned with a blend of bold, smoky, and spicy seasonings, including pepper and paprika. To balance your taste buds, the strips are served with the restaurant’s signature vanilla soft-serve ice cream for a cooling, sweet treat.

As with the other baskets on the menu, the FlameThrower Chicken Strips are served with dipping sauce, French fries, and Texas toast. If you want to try it for yourself, you can choose between a four-piece for $6.99 and a six-piece for $11.99.

Dairy Queen announced the new FlameThrower Chicken Strips on Instagram, and fans flooded the comments section, eager to try them.

“Looks so good,” one person commented, and Dairy Queen replied, “Trust us…you’re not ready.”

Another wrote, “Omg,” and the fast food chain replied, “Don’t ignore a swicy craving.”

Also on the new Swicy menu are two Sparklers and Coolers, both available in two flavors: Lemonade and Pineapple Lemonade with Tajin. The refreshing Sparklers are made with sparkling water and your choice of the new flavors. The coolers feature DQ’s classic soft serve, plus your choice of flavor, for a creamy, fruity, citrusy beverage that pairs perfectly with your FlameThrower Chicken Strips.
